Trout Festival Fireworks

The 2002 Trout Festival had its hardships but as you see below, one event that stood strong against the return of winter was the firework display in downtown Kalkaska. I would like to start out by thanking the people involved in lighting those fireworks off in such unpleasant weather conditions. The wind was blowing, snow falling; along with a chilling drizzle that drifted upon the anxious crowds. All in all the weather conditions made for a beautiful display from inside our warm vehicles nestled up to a cup of hot chocolate with the sky lighting up from a spectacular demonstration. Car horns were beeping, people hootin and hollering a spectacle definitely worth seeing. If you were there you know how interesting the event was, and if you weren’t we hope to see you next year for another superb firework display.
