Ironmen Golf Scramble

Communities In Schools of Mancelona and Mancelona Rotary will be hosting their annual Ironmen Golf Scramble on Saturday May 12th. The 4-person scramble will begin at 8:30 am at Lakes of the North Deer Run Golf Course. The cost is $200 per team and lunch will be provided.

6th Annual Bass Festival 5K Run/Walk

Communities In Schools of Mancelona will be hosting their 6th Annual Bass Festival 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, June 3rd. The race begins at 9:00 a.m. at Palmer Park. Medals will be awarded to the top 25 male and female participants and A MYSTERY PRIZE for Teams. T-shirts will be given to first 100 entrants.

Teams of co-workers, colleagues, family and more camp out overnight and take turns walking laps around a track. Participants celebrate the victory of local cancer survivors during the special Survivors Lap. At dusk, they have a chance to remember loved ones lost to the disease during the poignant Luminaria Ceremony. During the Fight Back ceremony, community members are encouraged to make a pledge to save one life from cancer.
